Sunday morning we did our Breeding Bird Survey out by Grantsville. After finishing, we decided to see what else we could find in the county. We visited South Willow Canyon, Clover Springs Campground, JW Fitzgerald WMA, Ophir Canyon, Rush Lake and a few places in between. Total for the day was 104. Nothing really unusual was seen. The best birds of the day were probably the Peregrine Falcon seen chasing a starling in South Willow Canyon, and the Ferruginous Hawk that flew across the highway right in front of us (literally seconds after I commented that it would be nice to see a Swainson's or Ferruginous Hawk).
