I am new to birding, at least keeping track of what I have seen, but I was in Richfield, Utah last weekend and I am pretty sure I saw a common nighthawk at least 2 nights of my 4 nights there.

Of particular interest were the birds seen near the Nature Center either from the west edge of the parking lot or while walking the dike around Glover Pond from that parking lot. They included two Snowy Plovers, a Common Yellowthroat, and a long satisfying look at a Virginia Rail busy preening while apparently thinking himself hidden. A full list follows.
