Birded my yard in Logan this evening. Fall is coming! Four YELLOW
WARBLERS were presumed migrants, they were in a small flock and were giving
their migrant call, a thin quiet "zip" like call. Six magpies were bullying
a Rock Pigeon, striking it with their bills, apparentIy looking for some
sign of weakness? The Rock Pigeon was either clueless or completely unfazed,
as it held its ground, and the magpies flew off after 10 minutes. Also
there was a BULLOCK'S ORIOLE family with two kids still begging for food; I
have seen them a couple times now in the last 10 days.
Checklist below. Good birding, Craig.
