Hi Folks -

I have not personally observed the falcons for several days now. Here is a report from Karl Wall, one of our watch team members.

Liz Schubert is also a dedicated watcher. Check out her website on the falcons. It's great!

Liz posted some good pictures from the kids flights on the 21st http://www.slcfalcons.blogspot.com/

We have only seen 3 birds this week, 1 adult The male I think, and Early and Lexi.

Monday night a lot of flights by the kids, culminating in a mid air food drop and catch. Both kids spent the night on the North side shelf on JSMB.

Both kids were on the Nth West corner of the Zion's Bank building in the early evening with 1 eating , before they headed to the Temple. Early made 5 flights from the temple chasing pray without success. Tuesday night after dark the 3 birds headed south from Temple Square and spent the night in new terrain, we could not find them, it was around 9:30pm. Liz posted some good pictures from the kids flights on the 21st http://www.slcfalcons.blogspot.com/

Bob found both kids back safe and sound on the Temple on Wednesday morning.

Wednesday night no adults were present, Lexi (I think) caught its own pray, and feasted on the South side of the Temple, I did not see the catch but it happened at the Temple. Early again had a few flights chasing pray without success. The kids were doing their normal flight training, dive bombing each other, and Early had a hard impact with the second window from the North on the East wing, West side of JSMB, he bounced off (you can see his impact mark on the window), fell about 2 feet then recovered and returned to the Temple. He spent the night on the West side of the Church Office Building, Lexi spent the night on the North side of the Office building, 6 levels down on a window-bar shelf.

Thursday night both kids had some good mid air duals, the Male adult made a few fly bys, with the kids following. The Adult headed south to the Utah One Building and parked on the North Face for the night. 1 kid spent the night on the North side shelf on JSMB, and the other was on the North Face of the Office Building, 7 levels down on a window-bar shelf.
