Today Margaret Sloan (Texas) and I hike the loop from Silver Lake to Twin
Lakes to Lake Solitude. We had some pretty good birds. This is the second
time this week I've been up there and missed American Three-Toed
Woodpecker. The best birds included Williamson's Sapsuckers, a Goshawk, a
flock of 20ish Red Crossbills & two White-Breasted Nuthatch nesting in a
dead Douglas Fir.

Here is the complete list: Mallard, Northern Goshawk, Spotted Sandpiper,
Black-Chinned Hummingbird, Broad-Tailed Hummingbird, Williamson's Sapsucker,
Hairy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Olive-Sided Flycatcher, Western
Wood-Pewee, Dusky Flycatcher, Cordillerean Flycatcher, Warbling Vireo,
Stellar's Jay, Clark's Nutcracker, Common Raven, Violet-Green Swallow, Cliff
Swallow, Mountain Chickadee, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, White-Breasted Nuthatch,
Ruby Crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, American Robin, Orange-Crowned Warbler,
Yellow-Rumped Warbler, MacGillivray's Warbler, Western Tanager, Green-Tailed
Towhee, Chipping Sparrow, Fox Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow,
White-Crowned Sparrow, Dark-Eyed Junco, Cassin's Finch, House Finch, Red
Crossbill, Pine Siskin.

Love you all.
