About noon today we saw a very large flock of Baird's Sandpipers on the Antelope Island Causeway (Davis Co.). They were between mile markers 4 and 5, and we estimate there were 2500-3000. We watched them feeding for about 30 minutes, and then they flew off as a group, heading south over the lake. We did not see them again before we left the causeway at 2 pm.
Earlier this morning we saw a Glossy Ibis at Bear River Refuge (Box Elder Co.) along the north side of the tour route.
