Both the youngsters spent nearly the whole day on the north face of the
JSMB. They practiced little hops and flapping. They were both fed by
their parents. It was quite mundane until about eight pm. Another falcon
was seen flying by, and the parents went ballistic. They flew frantically
for several minutes. Once the other falcon was out of sight, flight school
began. Both the young ones took several flights. Mom flew next to them
often and seemed to be guiding them. They spent nearly forty-five minutes
flying all around the Temple Square area. Several times the youngsters
landed on the temple and after much flying around, they found their way back
to JSMB.
Both of the young ones seemed to get better with each flight. The flying
was incredibly exciting and fun to watch.
Best thing about today was neither of the babies needed our help.
If you've not stopped by you're missing out.

PS The mother Peregrine spent a lot of time on her new favorite perch. Atop
Angel Moroni's trumpet.
