After a successful trip to Francis yesterday to see the Evening Grosbeaks,
Cedar Waxwings, Northern Shrike, Golden Eagles, etc (no Bohemian Waxwing,
tho), I decided to pay a visit to points north and west to see what I
could add to my 2009 list. It was a most successful day. Highlights
were:

Kaysville Ponds - Hooded Merganser, Great-tailed Grackle, Green-winged and
Cinnamon Teal, Gadwall, Widgeon, Ring-necked Duck

AIC - Sharp-shinned Hawk, Rough-legged Hawk (hovering over the road to
give me a great look), Bufflehead, Bald Eagle (no Long-tailed Duck)

Road to Ranch - Loggerhead Shrike (no Tree Sparrow or Northern Shrike)

Garr Ranch - Great-horned Owl (in the barn), Varied Thrush, Spotted
Towhee (no Virginia Rail)

Visitor Center - Mountain Bluebird

As Jim Bailey used to say, "Ain't retirement great?!"
