On my way to Tremonton today, I passed the Fish hatchery and saw lots and
lots of gulls, 4 or 5 Northern Shovelers, 1 Gadwall, the Lovely Lesser
Yellow Leggs that Ryan reported (that bird really must have more L's in it's
name) and 1 Great Blue Heron. Last year, I remember the Blue heron, but
there was also a Great Egret that spent the winter here. I didn't see him.
Further down the road, 2 juvenile bald eagles, 1 Nothern harrier, 2 American
Kestrels.
In Box Elder county, coming down the hill to the bridge over the Bear River,
an adult Bald Eagle nearly collided with my Bronco. Wellll... that is a bit
of an exaggeration, but he was flying very low over the road. I could see
his crossed beak very clearly. And a ring-necked pheasant perched in
some tree (which can be said with the same lilt as "and a partridge in a
pear tree"). I have never seen pheasants perch in trees before this year,
now I'm seeing them everywhere.
I also took some photos of the sunset if anyone is interested!

Happy birding!
