Great New Years day for me, riding with Bill Fenimore, Jim Mateski, Ruby and Lynn Hurst.  We found lots  of birds!

Location:    Antelope  Island
Observation date:    1/1/09
Notes:    This  was the CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT for the Wasatch Audubon Society at Antelope  Island (south of fence). Most significant bird was a VARIED THRUSH, seen by  dozens, at Garr Ranch. The area covered was from the north fence of Antelope  Island to the south end. Of the 16 Bald Eagles, 7 were adults, and 9 were  juveniles.  The Golden Eagle was a second year juvenile. Juncos were of  the Oregon subspecie. Count was led by naturalist Crystal Guinevere and Bill  Fenimore.  Incredibly fun day!
