Hi Connie,
Well I had lots of help in seeing all those birds yesterday. I was riding in a car with 4 accomplished birders: Lynn and Rudy Hurst, Jim Mateski, and Bill Fenimore of Wild Bird Center fame (http://wildbird.com/stores/lay/home).
Year 2008 went by quickly for me too, thanks in part to this fascinating birding hobby I started 2 years ago. It's been great to meet so many interesting people who are birders.
Take care,
Doug

Well, what I wouldn't give to have a snow bunting for my first bird. I consider you quite lucky.

good grief - it's 2009!! Can anyone tell me what happened to 2008?

Wow what a new year birdy greeting for you! You get an amazing variety there in Nibley.
My first birdies of 2009 were SNOW BUNTINGS on the AI causeway.

My First Bird of 2009 was the entire group of yardies feasting at my table ... pine siskins, am goldfinches, cassins finches, house finches, white-crowns, song sparrows, am tree sparrows, house sparrows and magpies. All that in one glance out the window! I love the little tweeters that visit my yard!
