[Birdtalk] Saturday in Davis Co.

Two Golden-crowned Kinglets and a Northern Goshawk were seen at Mueller Park in Bountiful.                                                       A Baird's Sandpiper (presumably the same one Carol Gwynn found in late December) was on the north side of the Antelope Island Causeway, between mm 2 and 3.  A Snow Goose with Canada Geese flew by heading north.   On Antelope Island we had a flyover of 2 Sandhill Cranes, and saw both Northern and Loggerhead Shrike.                                                                                  Farmington Bay gull-watching (or any other birds for that matter) was difficult with the hordes of airboats revving about, but we did manage to see 2 adult Glaucous Gulls, a 1st winter Glaucous-winged Gull, and a 1st winter Lesser Black-backed Gull.  There were also approx. 300 Common Mergansers on the far east side of the main pond.
