[Birdtalk] Finally...White-winged Crossbill images in Huntsville

They can cross to either side. But it isn't related to sex or age. Birds of North America indicates that it crosses to the right 3 times more often than to the left.

Am I going "cross-eyed"? It looks like some of the birds (top) bills cross over to the right and some cross over to the left. Can anyone respond to this, or does it even matter. It would be nice if it were an ID point of male vs female, but we couldn't be so lucky could we. Nice pictures Paul, as usual.
