[Birdtalk] Killdeer - Spring Behavior - Provo, Utah

In yet another harbinger of imminent Spring, this morning there was a lone
Killdeer calling repeatedly in the field across from my office in Provo.
Based on the brief research I just did, I presume it to be a male who has
staked out a territory and was calling for a mate. He wasn't there yesterday
or the day before, so my guess is he's getting a jump on the good turf - it
will be interesting to see if he's there again in the coming days.
Good Birding,
