Message: Today 2/23/2009 I went to the Huntsville City Park to look for White-winged Crossbills. I arrived at the park at about 1:00 pm. I walked around the park scoping out all of the conifers. From the east side of the park I spotted 1 female crossbill at the top of a tree on the west side of the park. It was the only one that I saw.
On Saturday 2/21/2009 Jon Bellmon & I led a Wasatch Audubon Field Trip. We went to Morgan, up to East Canyon, over to Hennifer, then to Echo and finished up by making the loop around Croydon. We saw 53 Bald Eagle, 4 Golden Eagle, 57 Wild Turkey and other birds common to the area. We did see a Lewis's Woodpecker about 1/4 mile north of the Hardscrabble Road. Les Talbot
