Well, I had a great afternoon birding around my little end of Cache County.
I went to several locations and got a whopping 24 species. I realize that
for some of you, that's a paltry sum, but for me that's really good. The
backyard tweeties came back in fair numbers today, but it's still not the
feather-fest I've had previously. Any, the places I went: Hyrum dam, The
Pond on Highway 165 near Millville, Ballard Springs, Mendon Road Bridge and
my back yard.
Canada Goose 67
Tundra Swan 4 (at Ballard Springs, if anyone wants to see them)
Gadwall 6
Belted Kingfisher 1
Wilson's Snipe 1
Killdeer 1
Common Goldeneye 2
American Kestrel 1
Common Raven 1
European Starling 300
Black-Capped Chickadee 6
Black-BIlled Magpie 11
Eurasian Collared Dove 6
Red-wing Blackbird 1
Dark-Eyyed Junco 9
American Goldfinch 22
House FInch 7
Song Sparrow 1
White-Crowned Sparrow 1
Cassin's Finch 2
Northern Flicker 1
Ring-necked Pheasant 2

Happy birding!
