Today I took a group out as a follow up to Tim Avery's classes. We had some
pretty good results. We found two of the three main birds we were looking
for and a lot more! Thanks to all who participated.
Lee Kay Ponds: Canada Goose, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Mallard, Northern
Shoveler, Pintail, Canvasback, Redhead, Ring-Necked Duck, Bufflehead, Common
Goldeneye, Pheasant, Great Blue Heron, Harrier, Red-Tail, Kestrel, Prarie
Falcon, Ring-Billed, California, Herring and Thayers Gulls, Northern Shrike,
Robin, Starling, Song Sparrow, White-Crowned Sparrow, Red-Winged and
Brewer's Blackbirds, Meadowlark and House Sparrow.
SL City Cemetery: Red-Tail, Pigeon, Mourning Dove, Northern Flicker,
Western Scrub Jay, Magpie, Black-Capped Chickadee, Red-Breasted Nuthatch,
Pygmy Nuthatch, Robin, Yellow-Rumped Warbler, Dark-Eyed Junco, House Finch,
Pine Siskin, American Goldfinch.
City Creek Canyon: Scrub Jay, Magpie, Black-Capped Chickadee, Winter Wren,
American Dipper, Robin, Song Sparrow, White-Crowned Sparrow, Dark Eyed
Junco, House Finch, Pine Siskin.
