[Birdtalk] A chorus of Robins

I noticed a couple days back that the "chorus" started at 3:10 am with one non-melodic vocalization. Within a couple seconds, a response came from farther away, a counter-response, another response, louder &more complex, and within the minute, full territorial songs were blasting all over downtown Sugarhouse. Just takes one insomniac thrush to ruin it for the whole neighborhood. Considering these guys are the last songsters of the evening, it's a wonder they get any sleep at all. Fellas, fellas, there are plenty of worms to go around...

Haven't been up at 5am in a while, and when I stepped out the door this morning it sounded like there were robins singing for miles. I can't recall ever hearing such a chorus. It sounded like they were in every tree within ears reach! Gotta love the spring time!

Good Birding
