I went to a birthday party on the beach this afternoon and was treated
to an impressive flight of gulls and terns heading up the coast to the
north. Every 15 minutes or so a great mixed flock of Franklin's Gulls
and Forster's Terns consisting of 100-150 birds each passed along the
beach. Mixed in were a few Common Terns, along with a number of the
resident Laughing Gulls, Royal Terns, Elegant Terns, and newly-arrived
Least Terns.

They're heading your way - and I'll be following soon . . .
