[Birdtalk] AF Boat Harbor - Yellow Warbler, Gray Flycatcher, hundreds of Grebes.

Birded American Fork Boat Harbor (Utah County) for about an hour this morning (11:00).  In the trees around the picnic area was at least 1 Yellow Warbler, 3 Orange-crowned Warblers, a Gray Flycatcher, at least 5 Yellow-rumped Warblers, a couple chickadees and a couple robins.

 

It was windy.  The wind and waves must have pushed all the grebes on the lake to the more sheltered bay East of the jetties.  There were over 400 Grebes crowded into this area.  Do Western Grebes migrate in large flocks?

 

There were also lots of swallows flying around, a couple Caspian Terns flew over and there was a Spotted Sandpiper sitting out on one of the docks.
