[Birdtalk] Farmington birds

Really great birds at Farmington Bay this morning. On the east side of
the road just past the entrance, I saw a Horned Grebe and Blue-winged
Teal. Then there was a Great Egret flying south past Egg Island -- all 3
egret species were present.

Also, there was an Ibis that I think might be a Glossy, but I'm not
sure. I've never seen one, so I'd love to hear other opinions. Pictures
are here:

The Ibis has a dark eye with no white surrounding feathers, but the
facial skin looks a little bit light compared to pictures I've seen of
Glossy. The legs are gray with a pinkish hue to the leg joints, which
matches the Nat. Geo. description for Glossy.

Later at Lee Kay Ponds, highlights were a Caspian Tern and a Swainson's
Hawk. Full eBird lists are below.

Final report: saw my first Lazuli Buntings for the year yesterday in the
foothills above City Creek canyon.

Cheers,
Tom
