After work the other night I walked out in my back yard to fill my bird feeders and heard the high pitched insect like call that could only mean Waxwings, my backyard trees were full of them. They are still here today, they are feasting my my next door neighbors hawthorn berries. I was able to get some nice pictures, if you would like to see them here is the link to my blog. http://stevesbirdnblog.blogspot.com/
I still have lots of Pine Siskins, American Goldfinches, Spotted Towhees, Mourning Doves, an occasional Eurasian Collared Dove, California Quail, Scrub Jays, and of course House Finches and House Sparrows.
Happy Birding
Steve
