Birded one of my usual routes, Logan Canal Trail on The Island in Logan
(Cache Co.) this evening. No surprises, but spring is working its magic!
Local Red-tailed Hawk is incubating, saw American Crows in Riverside Park
carrying a stick, plus more Northern Flickers than I have seen since last
October. I also watched an adult male Sharp-shinned Hawk watching
Black-capped Chickadees; a magpie attempted to hassle, but the Sharpy didn't
budge. And the Fox Sparrow that showed up in my yard about a week ago is
still here, singing, just waiting for the snow to melt so he can move into
the mountains.
Good birding, Craig
