Hello,
My wife, son and I made a brief trip to Provo this afternoon. Coming through Draper, we saw 4 White Pelicans soaring NW over the I-15. In Provo, we stopped by the Rock Canyon trailhead and chased our 2-year old up the trail about 1/4 mile until it started snowing. We saw and heard a Townsend's Solitaire singing and a few Scrub Jays. A flock of about 15 Robins flew overhead, heading up-canyon. The surprise were at least 2 Bushtits foraging among the oaks. I hadn't heard or seen them in quite a while so it was fun to watch them and listen to their calls. On the way out, we heard a Black-capped Chickadee and saw 2 Spotted Towhees.

Here in Midvale, we still have a few Siskins at the feeders. We saw at least 3 American Crows on Sunday evening before they were driven out by the local Magpies. There were Red Crossbills around a few weeks ago but I haven't heard them recently.

Good birding,
Matt Williams
