[Birdtalk] Red-Breasted Merganser & Lesser Yellowlegs

So, I had good luck & bad luck at Sugarhouse Park this morning.
When I arrived, I found one male Red-Breasted Merganser (previously reported
by Keeli Marvel). Pretty strange. Keeli seems to be good at finding nice
birds at golf courses and parks :) After a few minutes of being there, the
Merganser took off, circled a couple times and didn't come back.

I called Jeff Bilsky to discuss the Merganser & we got off topic and started
talking about Lesser Yellowlegs. I gave up on the Merganser and turned
around to leave. As I was driving off, I found a Lesser Yellowlegs feeding
with two Killdeer.

I went home to wake up Brittany to come and photograph the Yellowlegs. When
we returned with camera, we found another photographer. The other
photographer had left his car and appearantly flushed the Yellowlegs. It
was nowhere. Niiiiice. I scanned the far shore and couldn't find it. I
heard it call once from overhead. We waited around for about 20 more
minutes. Finally I had to leave to come home and get ready for work.

If anyone is out and about today, it might be worth it to check Sugarhouse
Park.

Thanks for the heads up, Keeli.
