[Birdtalk] Chukar in the city

It's unusual, but not unheard of. Chukar occur regularly in
neighborhoods along the benches, especially above the capital, and
above Foothill Drive. Your location isn't that far down, and there are
plenty of stream and hillside corridors that cross near your location
where they could come down from the foothills.

I saw one some years ago in the neighborhood just NE of Sugarhouse
Park, and I've also seen them (a small group) on the side of the exit
ramp from I-80 east-bound to the airport, so I think they could be
possible just about anywhere in the SL valley.

Nice sighting, regardless.
