The bright red male Summer Tanager was relocated today around 4:00 by one of our guests(Sorry I forgot your name, but you know who you are). It was hanging out in the same general area as original seen, near the Burrowing Owl barn, and Sun Conjures, high in the Elm trees. Its been great having all the birders around the Aviary. Your all pretty hard to miss with your big cameras and binoculars. I hope this is an appropriate use of bird talk, but if you haven't heard the Aviary is going to be on the November ballot for a 13 million dollar bond called proposition 1. We will use that money mostly to up our bird exhibits and build new more interactive exhibits. So if you enjoy your experience at the Aviary, please grab a lawn sign, tell your friends or even volunteer to help with campaigning. We're crazy for birds as much as you guys at the Aviary, and we hope you enjoy our little Zoo. We are one of only two Aviaries in the county.
Good Birding
