[Birdtalk] summer tanger

When I saw that Jeff, Tim and the Summerfelds saw the Summer Tanager on Friday, I got excited and wanted to see it, too.  When Roberta and Pomera saw it Saturday morning, then I knew I had to see it.  I went on the west side of the Aviary about 3:30 and stayed until 4:00 with no luck.  At 4:00, I decided to pay my $4.00 to enter the Aviary.  As I got down in front of the Emus, there was the bird, about 15 feet high.  As I watched the bird for about 45 minutes, quite a crowd  was watching it.  Rich Young and his wife took quite a few pictures of it. 
 
If you get a chance, try your luck at seeing the bird because I got the impression it would stay around for awhile.
