[Birdtalk] Summer Tanager photos

Tim,

Your "mystery" aviary bird is a Violet Turaco (Musophaga violacea) from west Africa (Senegambia, Guinea, Nigeria, and Cameroon).  Thanks for the great pictures.

  By the way,anyone who would like to study some Cackling Geese up close (David...), the aviary has 5 of what appear to be two subspecies--Richardson's, and Taverner's I believe-- along with a few other captive geese.
