I'm in the midst of playing 18 holes on the Mountain Dell canyon course and the bird activity is pretty amazing. On the 3rd hole a Ruffed Grouse flew out of a spruce and landed on the green when one of the other golfers blasted a ball into the tree!
There are a few migrants, most notably a Cassin's Vireo. Several Nashville and Wilson's Warbler were seen as well.
Dusky Flyvatcher, Warbling and Plumbeous Vireo, and Just now on #11 a pair of Western Tanager.
As for the usual suspects, a flock of Bushtit cam through the 5th hole while a Sharp-shinned Hawk flew over on the 7th. And large numbers of Cedar Waxwing, American Robin and American Goldfinch are everywhere as well as both Black-capped and Mountain Chickadee.
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher as well as Gray Catbird are both still present as well!
Good Birding
