Hey all,
Just had to let someone know I saw my first of the season Rough-legged
hawk today out at the ISSR. I love fall! I also have 10,000+ ducks
(mallard, shovelers, pintail, green-winged teal, gadwall, a few widgeon,
coot), lots of gulls - as far as I could tell, mostly ring-bill,
California, and one Franklins - but I didn't have time to sort, and
around 100 swan. Still have around 50 avocets around and 10 GBH. Here
and there harriers, pipits, RWBB, cowbirds, starlings, meadowlarks, and
evil sparrows that don't sit still. Still have a golden eagle and some
ravens hanging out.
For those of you that don't know, this is private property on the south
shore of GSL. I can't take everyone out, but try and note seasonal
birds as an FYI.
Ann
