Stephanie Cobbold and I birded around Cache County for a couple hours
this afternoon. The highlight for me was a lone DUNLIN hanging out with
two Pectoral Sandpipers and two Long-billed Dowitchers at Sue's Ponds
(also known as the Logan River Wetlands, just across the street to the
west of the Logan Landfill). Two weak photos with different weaknesses
are here:

We next went to Hyrum Reservoir which had at least 10 times the gulls
I've seen there lately, but the lighting was against us and we weren't
able to pick out anything unusual. I did see my first BUFFLEHEAD of the
fall, though. There were a lot of birds on the water and it would
certainly be worth another look in better light for raritites like
Pacific Loon and the scoters. Ebird checklists follow.
