Hi,

What a pleasure to be able to get back out birding. AIC had lots of birds,
but not a lot of variety. Ravens, A. Avocets, one lone sick looking
Black-necked Stilt, Ring-billed and California Gulls, Eared Grebes, Killdeer, Northern
Shovelers, American Pipits,

The road to Garr Ranch had American Kestrel, Yellow-rumped Warbler, E.
Starlings, BB Magpie, Meadow Lark, Northern Harrier and chukar.

Garr Ranch had Hermit Thrush, Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Marsh Wren, Song
Sparrows, A. Robin, Spotted Towhee, N. Flicker, Red-Winged Blackbird, White-crowned
Sparrows, and maybe the only surprise, a Savannah Sparrow.

On the way home I stopped at Farmington Bay to eat lunch and did not check
out all the ducks. I just drove to the end and ate. I took a few pictures of
some Pied-billed Grebes and a pair of Peregrine Falcons sitting together on a
distant log.

I drove around Glover Ponds, and to the west there were thousands of
Killdeer flying around. I saw a small group of peeps land in the plowed field to the
east and finally found them. Lots of Killdeer in the field as well. The
peeps were Least Sandpipers resting among the dirt clods. Never seen that before.
