Message: Birded Antelope Island and Causeway yesterday. I was amazed at the sheer number of birds ( specifically Eared Grebes, Northern Shovelers, and American Avocets) staging on the Great Salt Lake. It was a clear and calm day and with my telescope I could see vast concentrations of these three species (hundred of thousands) plus many more species of ducks and shorebirds. I also was able to get a great look at a Prairie Falcon as it tried to catch a meal.
