I rode a bike on Antelope Island, past Elephant Head, and down to the Split Rock on the west side.
Besides amazing scenery and tortured metamorphic ancient boulders, I saw

3 Ravens catching updrafts and gliding among the cliffs. Best job at Antelope Island.
60 Chukkars
100's of Meadowlarks that aren't singing much.
100's of little brown sparrow-like birds that like to hide from me in the grass. Horned Larks?
1 Kestrel hawk that flew by me with a snake hanging from its beak. It landed on a rock and dined on it.
1000's of other birds out in the lake that I couldn't see.
I took lots of pictures, if interested.

At the causeway, I saw 10000 Avocets, zillions of gulls, and probably Eared Grebes by the 1000's.

Come on out to the Island next week and watch the Bison Roundup, Oct 22, 23, 24.

Have fun,
Doug Roberts
