After birding with Tim this morning, I headed up to Little Dell Reservoir
and hiked around the area. Not much to note other than a couple GROUSES that
I flushed. Either RUFFED or BLUE, I didn't get a good enough look to say
definitively but the camera in my head says RUFFED. I then headed up over
Big Mountain pass and birded several stops in East Canyon. Had an aptly
named TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and lots of RED BREASTED NUTHATCHES as well as
both local CHICKADEES. There appeared to be some MERGANSERS on the East
Canyon Reservoir but sans scope I didn't have the patience to hike down and
verify the species.
Good Birds.
