I went out this morning around 8 hoping to catch the Black Scoter and the
Snow Bunting at Lincoln Beach, and found both still there. The Snow Bunting
was hopping around the rocks on the north side of the north jetty, and the
Black Scoter was feeding south of the south jetty with some coots. I think
finding both birds I went looking for was an all time first in my entire
birding career (and the Black Scoter was a life bird!).

Also spotted were a pair of American Goldfinches feeding in the thistles
along the north jetty, a Song Sparrow, a Belted Kingfisher flyby, numerous
Killdeer and American Coots, a Red-tailed Hawk, and a Kestral both along the
road before the turnoff into Lincoln Beach marina.
