[Birdtalk] Weird ducks and diving gulls

At Weber State University pond, I saw a few weird ducks. (DUCKS, not people). Are they hybrids, or did I discover something truly unique?

Also, I have never seen Gulls dive for fish before. I guess it's not that unusual, but I was amazed. Here's a little movie. Seen at Bear River MBR:
