Saw a possible WTSP at Lee Kay Ponds today. I only saw it for a split
second. The bird had a similar head pattern and I immediately noticed a
white throat. As soon as I got my binos on it, it dove down & I was unable
to relocate the bird. I did not notice a yellow supraloral. The only field
mark I thought I saw was a white throat. It was in a russian olive on a
spit of land across the water from the lookout. Again, I'm not positive I
saw a WTSP, but I might have. Please don't be angry if you go searching and
don't find one. I'll try to look again in the next couple days. I'd be
interested to hear anyone else's comments if they head out that way.
Other than that, I saw about 15 beautiful Bufflehead, Canvasback,
Ring-Necked Duck, Redhead, American Wigeon, Gadwall, Shovelers, Scaup,
Common Goldeneye, Pied-Billed Grebe, Kestrel, Red-Winged Blackbird, etc.
etc.
