I hit the IC this morning to see what was bzzing around. Still pretty slow here, but there were numerous WILSON'S WARBLER around, as well as a few WESTERN TANAGER, YELLOW and YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER. Highlights were several singing LARK SPARROW around the area, including one bird in a grassy field right in the middle of the whole complex. And the best bird of the morning was a COMMON GRACKLE that was chattering up a storm in a russian olive near the south pond.

I also stopped at the two "traps" discovered last week. Again, pretty dead at these stops, but did see more WILSON'S WARBLERS, as well as one WOOD-PEWEE.

I stopped by Lee Kay Ponds where there were 10-15 FORSTER'S TERNS. One bird got my heart racing when I saw that it had a whitish spot on the forehead... But, it was just a Forster's that I assume was still molting.

Cheers,
