[Birdtalk] Baby California Quail Have Begun Hatching

I just stumbled upon a family of what appear to be just-born baby Quail 
(California Quail, of course) in my yard here in East Mill Creek in Salt 
Lake County.  The chicks were so small, I mean tiny, they must have been 
born in no more than the past 24 hours, more likely it seems to me in 
the past couple of hours with the day's heating.  A sure mark that sping 
is truly upon us.  So, keep you eyes out, and the cats in, the chicks, 
of all stripes, are coming!

(BTW, the name Millcreek, the Township in Salt Lake County is apparently 
more correctly spelled as two words, "Mill Creek", so, I am starting to 
use that spelling myself...)
