This is the first time I've READ my emails from bird festival let alone
had time to post anything - obviously Tim doesn't need sleep.

Anyway - other that what Tim had on the Inland Sea Shorebird Reserve
from the Marathon birding and Saturday trip, we saw last Thursday a
MOCKING BIRD. We all got great looks at the 4 WHIMBREL.

Sunday and Monday (today) we did a behind the gates up in the Oquirrhs
Bob Huntington and Steve Carr are much better birders and helped me out
with those pesky mountain birds. Our route took us back via I-80 and so
we stopped at the interstate ponds at the Saltair exit. Today we took
the pipeline road (Kennecott property) from Coon Canyon to Little Valley
- more deer than new birds. These aren't in any great order and had no
surprises - I'm sure I forgot one or two.
