Hi All -

I considered NOT posting this, because we saw the bird "behind the gates", but there's another Bear River trip behind the gates on Sunday, so maybe participants will see it...

We did the shorebird workshop at Bear River today and had a good time. About 65 species on our trip list, most significant sighting (non-shorebird) had to be the BOBLINK. We flushed it from the dike road we were on, it flew to a phragmites seed head and sat there so everyone on the bus could see it. Pretty cool!

There are still some marbled godwits and dowitchers present. We saw black-bellied plover as well. Wilson's phalaropes are quite common now too. Gorgeous day!
