This morning, a chorus of YELLOW WARBLER from the yard provoked me to head
outside and see what else might be pitter pattering around. It was a good
idea to head outside! There were 6 Yellow Warblers in the apple tree
singing away like crazy. Another one could be heard further down the
street. Add in the Orange-crowned and Yellow-rumped and thats a nice little
mix for the yard. Then throw in the male BULLOCK'S ORIOLE that dove into
the tree, the BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER (new yard bird) skulking around, the
pair of RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS flitting about, the small swarm of LAZULI
BUNTINGS (only the second time for the yard), the flyover KILLDEER, and the
best bird of all, a DUSKY FLYCATCHER, and that makes a pretty good mornign
for a Sugarhouse backyard!

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the day brings. Its nice to
be able to see such a variety of birds at home!
