Hi All,

I've had a male calliope hummingbird coming to my feeder here in Perry, Box Elder County, the last 4 days. I think he's my lucky charm too, because as soon as he showed, up the lazuli buntings did too. This morning I've had 9 buntings at a time - 5 males and 4 females. Females appeared one day after the males. And then a little while ago, there were 6 female Cassin's finches feeding as well. An occasional broad-tailed hummingbird passes through the yard, but I haven't seen it at the feeder. And a Bullock's oriole has been singing from the trees, but again, haven't seen it dining on the grape jelly and orange buffet I have set out. Maybe the birds arrived in pretty good shape this year - fat stores not so depleted?
