MessageJim,

The Top of Utah list is one of five regional lists in our state. Perhaps it
would be best for you to unsubscribe rather than to expect all the other
subscribers to change our behavior so as not to annoy you.

  Subject: [Birdtalk] TOP OF UTAH

This evening, with a 30-minute period, my Inbox was flooded with 6 posts
from the TOP OF UTAH. The first 2 and the last 2 provided no useful
information. Posts 3 and 4 were identical except for the E-mail address.
This is definite overkill.

While I enjoy scanning the bird reports from the TOP OF UTAH, I question
whether there is sufficient justification or necessity to accord this area
its own unique site on UTAH BIRDS. To my knowledge, no other birding area
in Utah has this privilege. In nearly all cases, birders from TOP OF UTAH
also post their messages on the 2 general statewide sites BIRDNET or
BIRDTALK. So there is a wasteful duplication of effort that also increases
download time and storage.

I respectfully suggest that, in the future, birders from TOP OF UTAH post
only on the 2 general sites. Your report location, e.g., Cache Valley, Box
Elder County, etc. could simply be listed in the header line.

  Thanks for your consideration.

  Jim
