Carl Ingwell and I went to Antelope Island for some birding yesterday from
around 5pm - 8pm. We didn't see the Thrashers although we didn't know to be
looking for them unfortunately. The highlight was definitely (lifer for both
of us) BURROWING OWLS. We saw two pairs and heard at least one other. They
were making quite a racket and were very responsive to calls. One male
appeared to be putting on a show for his mate and puffed himself up and did
some kind of display. Quite entertaining.
