[Birdtalk] Red-shouldered Hawk... MAYBE NOT

So it has been brought to my attention by an exceptional birder, that the bird in Farmington may not be a Red-shouldered Hawk. This person has viewed the pictures I took, and has also photographed the bird in question, and based off their experience, has ID'd the bird as a Red-tailed Hawk.

That said, why don't some of the local experts weigh in with their thoughts. Rick, Larry, Kris (you don;t have to since you already did ;) ), Mark, David, Colby?

Also if anyone has GOOD pictures of the bird that would probably be helpful. Mine are here, but were all in bad light:

I personally thought the bird looked like a Red-shouldered based off the wing pattern, size and shape, but the person in question is no stranger to birds of prey and someone I trust very much so in this situation. They don't want to get involved, but I thought I would pass on the concerns since so many have gone to see this bird.

Cheers,
