Hi Tim,
Thanks for the reply. If you look at the other pictures (click on link to SmugMug), it seems that the bill is longer than the head. I was trying to find a specie with that extra long bill. Whatcha think?

Yet again another mystery bird in my binoculars. I'm guessing it is a 1st summer Herring Gull (p189 of Sibley), but what is it really?
