Ventured to the back side(west) of Willard Bay this morning.  Totally surprised by the number of birds staging for, or in migration, this early. One thousand one-hundred and seventy-two(or was it three?)  Black Terns, two-thousand five hundred and fifty six Dowitchers (all I could verify were long-billed).  One hundred and forty-one Forster Terns.  Seven Caspian Terns.  Several thousand  American White Pelicans, four Marbled Godwits, two Spotted Sandpipers, one- thousand forty two Franklin Gulls. Not counting many of the regulars.

Along the South side of Willard Bay  are numerous Eastern and Western Kingbirds.  The road on the backside has been graded, if you stay near the fence it is not too bad.
